Aviation Blade Services, Inc. Receives Source Approval Request SAR from the U.S. Army for the Blackhawk Main Rotor Blade
Kissimmee, FL, August 16, 2021 – Aviation Blade Services, Inc. (“ABS”), a wholly owned subsidiary of First Aviation Services Inc. announced today receipt of Source Approval Request (SAR) for the Blackhawk Main Rotor Blade from the Department of The Army, U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Aviation and Missile Center.
The System Readiness Directorate added Aviation Blade Services, Inc. as an approved source for the UH-60 Main Rotor Blade Assembly, Part Number 70150-09100-043, National Stock Number 1615-01-106-1903. This approval is based on the technical capabilities demonstrated by ABS. The current SAR adds to Aviation Blade Services’ existing UH-60 Tail Rotor Blade, Part Number (PN) 70101-11200-044, National Stock Number 1615-01-088-3230, and 70101-31000-043, NSN 1615-01-113-8188. Aviation Blade Services’ sister company, Piedmont Propulsion Systems, LLC previously gained Source Approval Request for the UH-60 Hub Sub-Assembly, Main Rotor, Part Number 70103-08112-047, National Stock Number 1615-01-450-4834.
As a result of this SAR Aviation Blade Services, Inc. is able to support all Foreign Military Sales (“FMS”) customers directly or indirectly through programs such as the Parts and Repair Ordering System (“PROS V”).
